Graduation Project
During my internship at Gum in London, I became fascinated by a newspaper article about the re-use of Down Street Station. And I asked myself the following question for my graduation project, How can I as a spatial designer tell the story of the history of Down Street station in an exhibition? I decided to combine my knowledge of spatial design with the design methodology of scenography.
The Underground at War is an exhibition space inside the former Down Street Station. The exhibition design is inspired by materials found in archives. The re-purposing of Down Street Station is an excellent opportunity to dust of the archive materials and give them a new life. The idea behind the exhibition is to show people a new way to experience the stories of the past. By using the 2D imagery and converting them to immersive and interactive experiences.
